Simple site. Is it easy?
The average user is difficult to imagine how the mechanism of a site. He has no time to think about it, he has a lot of his affairs and concerns, in the end he is just not interested. The user sees the end result and in a moment decides whether he likes the design. After working with the site, he also decides whether it is convenient for him to use the functional component. So what is the main criterion for the usability of the site? First of all, it is the maximum availability. The visitor of your site wants to see the information he needs in an accessible and visual form. Going to the site, full of advertising, links, banners and disgustingly decorated text, most likely the user refuses to hurt his psyche and go to another site in search of the same information. It is always nice to look at well-chosen colors. Awful color range causes a sharp desire to leave the resource. Moreover, poorly readable information is an excellent excuse for a site designer. For each category of visitors, you can choose your own set of colors that are acceptable for this audience. Although if earlier it was believed that corporate sites should be predominantly blue or calm tones, then with the development of the design and literacy of the customer began to meet the most daring and bright color solutions. It is necessary to hide information very carefully. With the development of jQuery, it has become incredibly easy to hide a registration form or any other element of the page. The sites are filled with a variety of retractable panels and scrolling areas. In most cases, there is absolutely no need to hide anything. More often, due to the implementation curve, the script works poorly or does not work at all. Therefore, if you decided to hide something, make sure that it is really necessary to remove it and that the code works, at least, in popular browsers. Navigation is almost the most important way to send a visitor to the right place. Once on the site, the user must unambiguously determine what and where to look for him. A simple menu, the correct sections and labels for records – all this makes life easier for our client. A very good way is to show relevant entries at the end of the article. Such care flatters the user and encourages frequent visits to the resource.
It is necessary to clean out the excess information noise. If you wish to reach a large audience, the sites are made “all-knowing”. They are stuffed with any more or less useful information, as a result, the resource turns into a dump on which it is impossible to find the right one. Naturally, with proper organization and painful meticulousness in selecting content, the quality of the site can be maintained at the proper level, but this is a very problematic and difficult task. There are such resources, but these are portals for which more than a dozen people work. Sadly, site clients almost never read the information. Having opened the page for the first time, the user casually scans its content in search of an article or image that interests him. If the visitor is hooked on the desired, he can relax, having satisfied his need, and there is a chance that he will pay attention to the rest of the “side” information. Therefore, it is necessary to focus as much as possible on providing relevant information in an acceptable form. Articles should be accompanied by a title that accurately reflects the essence. It is also good if the article has a legend, some brief description. These are just a few highlights that I think should be taken into account when creating a site. And conclusions to do to you, in any case, it all depends on the specific situation and audience.
