What could the Internet be like in the future?
There seems to be no corner in the world without an Internet connection. He is in the Amazon jungle, in Antarctica, in the deserts of Africa … In short, wherever the providers could get with their equipment. And where they could not, there you can enter the Network via satellites. Photo: pixabay.com A variety of ways to connect to the Internet, a huge number of files in it create the illusion that, say, it is reached in technological progress, the top, there is nothing more to strive for. This is about how, after climbing to Chomolungma (Everest), climbers begin to dream of flying to Mars, where there is an even higher mountain of the Solar system – Olympus, with a height from the foot over 20 kilometers. But everything is relative. There was a time when a file weighing 1 MGB swung on the computer for a good half hour due to low speed. Now the file of 100 MGB is downloaded in minutes. Speed limit Not at all! Developed new quantum computers will allow to increase the speed of information processing by several orders of magnitude. Of course, at the same time, Internet technologies will also change drastically. What will be the Internet? What do experts and science fiction writers say about this? Every morning, a summary of health and preventive measures will minimize hospital treatment Photo: pixabay.com Suppose you woke up in the morning. The first thing you will hear: your personal email doctor will read to you while you brush your teeth, a message about how you rested and what you should pay special attention to in the daily regimen. Conveniently? Of course. There is no need for failures in the body to contact the clinic. You will not need pills and potions, as the personal electronic doctor will notice any (even the smallest) deviation in health and will warn you, will issue accurate prescriptions. In this case, the emphasis will be placed on prevention. Then you sat down to breakfast. And the Internet turned on again. Your personal e-cook tells you how and what you have with meals, at what points you need to pay attention. Moreover, he will make the menu the next day, given these moments. Conveniently? Of course! What about work? It turns out that you do not need to look for work. You will be found by your electronic work consultant. In its database will be all the information about your education, skills and places of previous work. Based on these data, the consultant will independently negotiate with your employers about your device and will “promote” you in the service. In private life, you will have your own virtual “room” on the web with an electronic secretary who will arrange for you to create a family with the most suitable person in all respects. Interesting? Of course. But here we begin to think. This is what can happen in the future, where will the development of technology lead? Some program will begin to collect any information about me, take care, recommending this and that? Would not that this program will know more about me than I know about myself? What if all the information becomes available to those who wish to use it to harm me? There is something puzzled to scratch my head and think about data protection. The program will know more about the person than he knows about himself. Photo: pixabay.com In addition, the crime has already turned towards electronic crimes. What does it threaten with? And the fact that any person can be a beggar in the future if he does not save some financial information about himself. It is supposed that in the future such concepts as computer, monitor, Internet access will disappear. A microchip will appear, which will replace us with all the current Internet gadgets. To enter the Network, it will be enough just to think about it, close your eyes – and something like a hologram will turn out to be a projection in the brain. All actions can be performed at the mental level. Fantasy? Yes, until fiction. But microchips are already there (albeit for other purposes) and microchipping is carried out. As you can see, the future of the Internet can not only make you happy, but it can also make you very sad. What will happen in reality? Wait and see.
